With this stunning Alchemy kimono robe we start our unique Organic cotton collection. We made the choice of using certified organic fabric as a conscious step towards a cleaner, more fair and beautiful world. The textile we use for this piece is strong and gorgeously textured pure cotton, breathable and durable. It is dyed into rich oriental turquoise and saffron colors, and also left in its raw silver grey version. Design of Alchemy Kimono is an original mix of bohemian, new age and oriental elements into an alchemical Chintamani masterpiece perfect for events, festivals or private ceremonies. From the front it is reminiscent of classic Japanese kimonos with it’s simple square silhouette, shaped by a long and wide belt, but it’s sleeves have a very original twist – they are open on top, so that your arms are visible. This is an amazing feature for warmer climates as you generally want to pair Alchemy Kimono with another gown since it does not close completely in the front. On the back of this elegant piece we put a line of alchemical symbols in golden print. These are 9 sacred elements of Alchemical transformation: Spirit, Sun, Air, Water, Alchemy, Earth, Fire, Moon and Purification. This subtle decoration looks best when you wear our Alchemy Kimono as a mantle on top of long dresses or loose pants, like our Wide Linen Trousers.

Certified organic cotton
Why did we start working with Organic Cotton? Generally, the Cotton industry is very harmful towards the environment and the people who are involved in it. Organic certification was created to improve this. Organic production systems reduce the use of toxic pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture. It is also very beneficial for the local communities working on the fields, as their labor conditions are improved and wages are raised up to certain standards. Hence, the price of the fabric is higher than the overall market price of cotton, but this money is invested into the future of our planet and into the happiness of the villagers, so that they can live their simple rural life in dignity.

▲ PRODUCTION: ▼
All Chintamani Items are made by small home factories in India and Indonesia. We care about every piece quality and intend to make our clothes special, reflecting authentic tribal vibes in a gentle classy way.
▲ CARE: ▼
We are washing fabrics twice during the production process, so that our customers will get pieces that will not change after home wash.
Wash all-natural fabrics by hand or in a washing machine on a cold gentle cycle, using ecological laundry products.
Please keep in mind that hot water makes natural fabrics shrink a bit and that all fabrics get much softer after washing.
